Original Fine Art Painting | Dorian Radu RMS

An elegant celebration of contemporary still-life painting, The Art of Gin transforms a familiar ritual of refinement and indulgence into a sophisticated study of light, texture and composition.

At the centre of the arrangement, the distinctive dark glass bottle of Hendrick's Gin stands beside a delicately rendered crystal goblet, adorned with a stag motif and garnished with fresh citrus. The luminous transparency of the glass, the rich reflections across the bottle and the vibrant yellow of the lemon create a captivating interplay of colour and material.

Set against a deep blue background and a rustic wooden surface, the composition draws upon the traditions of Dutch Golden Age still-life painting, while its contemporary subject lends the work a distinctly modern character.

Through meticulous observation, masterful tonal contrasts and exceptional attention to detail, Dorian Radu elevates everyday objects into an intimate exploration of craftsmanship, elegance and the pleasures of life.

Both understated and visually compelling, The Art of Gin celebrates the beauty of simple arrangements, revealing the extraordinary artistic possibilities within the ordinary.

A distinguished original still life where classical realism, contemporary sophistication and painterly virtuosity converge in a timeless expression of elegance.
