Original Fine Art Drawing | Dorian Radu RMS

A unique preliminary study for a commission of the distinguished British actor Sir Patrick Stewart, capturing the quiet authority, wisdom and remarkable character of one of Britain's most celebrated performers.

Executed with exceptional precision and sensitivity, this monochromatic drawing reveals the subtle complexities of the human face through delicate tonal transitions, intricate detailing and masterful control of light and shadow.

Every line and expression contributes to an extraordinary sense of presence, while the restrained composition allows the sitter's individuality to take centre stage.

Drawing upon the traditions of classical portraiture, Dorian Radu creates an intimate and timeless study that transcends physical likeness, conveying the dignity, experience and humanity of its subject.

An exquisite example of contemporary classical portraiture, distinguished by its technical refinement, psychological depth and understated elegance.
